Welcome to our site as we look forward to serving the needs of the central Indiana region!
Our mission is to educate, inform, and present a forum for the plastics community in regards to plastics and polymers. No matter what your role is in the industry or in academia, we connect people through our presentations, meetings and events and serve our communities at a local level. As a volunteer organization, we offer technical presentations, facility tours, and social/networking events to engage people and provide a forum for idea exchange. Giving back is a fundamental part of what we believe through our events and scholarship program.
History
The section was founded on February 15, 1944 as the fifth section (S05) of SPE as we are proud of our heritage and the members that have served before us. In keeping up with the changes in the plastics industry we have always maintained our focus on people and serving the needs of our members. Keeping up with the issues facing our industry has been an important factor as well while having an eye towards advancing technological changes.
